Job summary

Trew is seeking a Senior Planner in West Chester, OH to lead demand forecasts and supply plans across assigned commodities. You will collaborate with procurement, production, and project teams to align schedules with business goals and maximize on-time delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in planning, strong analytical skills, and ERP/MRP proficiency. On-site work five days a week is expected in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or materials planning.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field preferred.
• APICS CPIM certification preferred.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts and supply plans to support inventory planning and production schedules.
• Collaborate with project management and production teams to align forecasts with business objectives.
• Engage daily with shop supervision and leads to review and address daily work priorities; create and provide the daily work schedule.
• Run MRP and manage planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, lot sizes) for assigned items; review planned orders and communicate recommended actions and requirements to Procurement.
• Partner with Procurement and key suppliers to confirm delivery commitments, expedite or de-expedite orders, and resolve supply constraints.
• In conjunction with the Inventory Manager, monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock turns.
• Analyze demand and capacity data to support make versus buy and sourcing recommendations with Procurement for cost savings.
• Monitor market trends and supplier lead-time changes to adjust plans and flag supply risks.
• Develop and implement planning strategies to improve on-time delivery, reduce expedites, and maintain service levels.
• Continuously evaluate and improve planning processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare regular reports on inventory status, supply plan health, supplier delivery performance, and planning KPIs.
• Create and provide a weekly project health report-out on status, including current on-time delivery and projected future on-time delivery.
• Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
