Job summary

University of Illinois Chicago in Chicago, IL seeks a Visiting Senior Clinical Research Coordinator to support the Department of Medicine's Breathe Chicago Center. The role manages multi-study operations, from startup through close-out, serving as a liaison with physicians, nurses, data staff and sponsors.

Eligible candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of human participant research experience (or three years plus a master’s).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Five years of experience conducting human participant research, or three years plus a master’s degree.
• Experience in a clinical research setting with Federal Regulations and IRBs is required.
• Strong communication, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage goals and tasks per the project plan to meet milestones.
• Develop, update, and execute MOPs and SOPs; train study staff on protocols.
• Coordinate participant treatment schedules and visits to stay within protocol windows.
• Ensure accurate data entry and regular data audits and reporting.
• Mentor junior staff and present study progress internally or at conferences.
