Job summary

UIC Office of the Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs - Population Health Sciences seeks a Visiting Director of Clinical Research Operations in Medicine for the Breathe Chicago Center in Chicago, IL. The role leads research operations, staff, and regulatory compliance within the Department of Medicine.

Responsibilities include budgeting, site management, and collaboration with PIs to ensure timelines and quality. A Master’s degree or MD is required, with extensive clinical research experience.

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage clinical research operations and staff across the Breathe Chicago Center.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and site management.
• Coordinate with Principal Investigators and study teams to ensure timelines and milestones are met.
• Monitor budgeted expenditures and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Develop staff orientation, training, and professional development programs.
• Prepare and deliver presentations for internal and external meetings.
