Job summary

Gillon Property Group seeks a hands-on Building Engineer for Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, MO. You will oversee the senior technical operations across multiple buildings, manage the BAS/EMS, and lead the maintenance technician team daily to keep all systems running efficiently.

The role requires extensive experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life-safety, and building systems in a large property.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent with technical or trade training in building-systems discipline.
• Technical certificate or associate degree in building-systems or engineering, or five years of commercial building-engineering experience in lieu of the certificate.
• EPA Section 608 Universal certification; if not already held, it must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with BAS/EMS and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and optimize mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life-safety, and elevator systems.
• Lead the maintenance technician team and serve as on-site engineering lead.
• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs; maintain logs and records in CMMS.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, inspections, and permits are up to date.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and management for budgets and upgrades.
