Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a tire technician to mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires for passenger, light, and heavy trucks, including industrial applications. You will diagnose and repair semi-truck systems and maintain safe vehicle operation in compliance with regulations.

You will participate in training, follow safety procedures, and handle inventory, with potential to drive service trucks to onsite breakdown locations. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Experience with heavy duty/commercial tires preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to lift/move tires weighing 30-250 lbs with or without assistance.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
• 401K matching available.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires for passenger, light truck, heavy truck and industrial applications.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair semi-truck systems including tires, HVAC, brakes, steering, suspension, PM inspections, drive train and electrical.
• Ensure safe operation of company vehicles and compliance with traffic regulations.
• Load and unload stock and assist with physical inventory.
• Operate Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and participate in safety training.
