Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a tire service technician to mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires on passenger cars, light trucks, large trucks, and industrial vehicles; diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers, including brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.

You will conduct fleet inspections, respond to roadside service calls with a service truck, operate TPMS, assist with inventory, and participate in ongoing safety training while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Experience with heavy-duty or commercial tires preferred (not required).
• Ability to lift/move tires weighing between 30-250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work involving repetitive motion, forceful exertion, and working in awkward postures or under vibration.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across various vehicle types.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers, including brakes and HVAC.
• Perform fleet inspections and routine maintenance.
• Respond to roadside service calls using a service truck when needed.
• Operate Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) and assist with inventory.
• Uphold safety protocols and company policies.
