Job summary

Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield seeks a security professional to greet guests, monitor access, and support emergency response on our Des Moines campus. You’ll operate access control, CCTV and life-safety systems, and serve as a trusted resource for staff and visitors in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll bring strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork, with 1+ year in security or related fields; on-site daily work is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
1+ year experience in security, law enforcement or military; familiarity with security systems/equipment.
Must have or be able to attain additional skills and training for physical security.
Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Operate and control telecommunications, alarm monitoring, cameras, access control and life safety systems.
Act as intermediary between emergencies and response personnel.
Greet guests and provide exceptional customer service to Wellmark guests and workforce.
Monitor surveillance and patrol areas to protect guests, staff and assets.
Support visitor management, parking programs, and badge administration.
Assist with general administrative tasks related to security operations and facilities.
