Job summary

Leidos is seeking a junior-level Security Engineer to analyze and implement security requirements for NDOC at an on-site Bethesda location. The role includes system security design, risk management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet NMEC RMF directives.

Responsibilities cover engineering life cycle, incident handling, and certification and accreditation processes, with emphasis on IA principles and STIG/NIST controls. TS/SCI with poly is required or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph or willingness to obtain one is required.
• DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II certification requirements are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Apply system security engineering expertise across design, lifecycle, and risk management.
• Collaborate with ISSMs, project managers, and teams to implement security controls and RMF.
• Provide technical support and complex problem resolution for security enhancements.
• Maintain accreditation documentation and evidence in accordance with NIST 800-53.
• Participate in TEMs, IA activities, and ensure ICD-503 compliance for NMEC ISSM
