Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer in Bethesda, MD to support DoD task orders by designing, developing, and implementing secure on-premises systems and integrating security across the system lifecycle.

The role requires TS/SCI with CI poly, a BA/BS and 10+ years of experience, and a DoD 8570 IASAE II certification. You will lead RMF activities, develop SSPs, and ensure compliance across DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in the field; DoD 8570 IASAE II cert.
• Developer experience in at least one scripting language.
• Experience reviewing cybersecurity vulnerabilities and building remediation plans across systems.

Responsabilités

• Design, secure architecture for DoD systems per DoDI 8510.01 and NIST SP 800-53.
• Lead integration of RMF activities into the SDLC; select, implement, validate security controls.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, SARs, risk assessments, POA&Ms.
• Apply STIGs and validate compliance using SCAP, STIG Viewer, ACAS.
• Maintain scanning infrastructure and analyze vulnerabilities for remediation or risk acceptance.
• Support system authorization, incident response, forensics, and security automation efforts.
