Job summary

The role requires a valid educator certificate, a master’s in speech-language pathology, and knowledge of special education laws, with ASHA/ABSESPA licensure preferred for enhanced eligibility.

Qualifications

• Valid Professional Educator Certification.
• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.
• Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations related to special education.
• Understanding of pediatric and adolescent development.
• Familiarity with diagnostic instruments for assessing students with disabilities.
• Ability to interpret policies, data, and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• On-site availability (remote/virtual not considered).
• ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat students per IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support progress.
• Document student performance and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and decision making.
• Adapt services to various caseloads and locations per district needs.
