Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist to cover a 12-week maternity leave in a K–4 setting. The role focuses on direct intervention, assessment, and collaboration with educators and families.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, an active state SLP license, CCC from ASHA, and Alabama educator certification, with prior school experience preferred.

Job description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist for a 12-week maternity leave coverage. This position serves students from PreK through 4th grade in a vibrant educational setting, focusing on direct interventions and collaborative support during a key time in the school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active state license for Speech-Language Pathologists
• Current Educator Certification (as required by Alabama)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to quickly adapt to new school environments and student needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for approximately 50 students, ages PreK-4th grade
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other educators and parents
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for student files and progress monitoring
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to offer strategies and support for student success
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment to help students achieve their communication and academic goals
