Job summary

The Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) in Manhattan, KS is seeking a full-time, on-site Scheduler to join our team. The role handles scheduling patient orders and appointments and serves as the primary contact between patients and medical staff.

Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with no major holidays, no on-call and no weekends. A high level of customer service and familiarity with Microsoft Office and EMR systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years office experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong customer service orientation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and basic medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Answers all incoming calls and messages, prioritizing inquiries and directing them appropriately.
• Maintains accurate patient demographics, preferences, and records in the system.
• Schedules patients in the EMR/PMS according to provider and office guidelines.
• Coordinates pre-certifications or authorizations as required by staff.
• Protects patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
