Job summary

JCB is seeking a Safety Technician to support North American headquarters operations in Pooler, GA. You will assist the EHS Director and team with OSHA, environmental compliance, and on-floor safety initiatives, primarily on the manufacturing floor.

The role emphasizes incident investigations, policy development, and training, with a weekend 6am–6pm shift. This position requires practical safety expertise and the ability to work across departments to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ related experience in general industry manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work 6:00am-6:00pm Friday-Sunday (Weekend Shift)
• Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day support for all core OSHA programs and standards applicable to general industry manufacturing.
• Support in the development and updates of OSHA and Environmental policies, programs and standards.
• Support with and lead incident investigations (first aid, near misses, recordable, environmental and property damage) using a team-based approach to problem solving and to effectively implement corrective actions.
• Support in preparation and delivery of EHS performance reports for leadership.
• Support implementation of sustainability and recycling initiatives.
• Conduct EHS related inspections and audits, generate reports and communicate findings.
• Provide day-to-day technical safety and health advice and consultation to employees and contractors.
• Train and certify employees on forklifts and P.I.Ts.
