Job summary

Lithium Americas seeks a Safety Supervisor to lead the on-site health and safety program at the Thacker Pass site in Nevada. You will supervise Safety Specialists, implement safety programs, and ensure regulatory compliance across MSHA and OSHA standards.

The role reports to the Safety Manager and may involve occasional travel to other LAC offices or project sites. Strong communication and training delivery skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field; working knowledge of U.S. and Nevada OSHA and MSHA regulations.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive safety experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Ability to deliver effective safety training and engage diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site safety point of contact for Thacker Pass day-to-day operations.
• Supervise Safety Specialists and provide guidance, feedback and development support.
• Partner with the Safety Manager to implement site safety programs and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Lead safety meetings, conduct inspections, audits and incident investigations, and drive corrective actions.
