Job summary

RQC, LLC is seeking a Construction Site Safety Officer to join our Virginia team, focusing on military projects around Norfolk. The SSHO will implement safety plans and ensure compliance with EM-385, OSHA, and our safety program on site.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of construction safety management, appropriate safety certifications, and strong MS Office skills. On-site work with potential relocation/travel to project locations is required.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of field safety management in commercial construction.
• Competent person training or experience in Fall Protection, Confined Space, Electrical, Trenching/Excavation, PPE, and Scaffolding.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour certification within past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, organize, implement, and execute all safety requirements on the project per EM-385, OSHA, and APP.
• Provide on-site safety oversight and may supervise direct reports.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure safe production and compliant operations.
• Maintain safety documentation, audits, and incident reporting on site.
