Job summary

RQ Construction, LLC is seeking a Construction SSHO to support military construction projects in San Diego County. This on-site role requires supervision of safety on the jobsite, ensuring compliance with EM-385 and OSHA, while coordinating with the project team to maintain a safe, high-quality work environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in commercial construction safety management, DoD project experience, and relevant safety certifications. Travel or relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial construction
• 5+ years leading jobsite safety management
• Safety certifications ( CPR/First Aid, OSHA 30) within last 5 years
• Competent person training in fall protection, electrical, trenching/excavation, PPE, scaffolding

Responsibilities

• Oversee all site safety, coordinating with project teams to ensure safe, compliant operations
• Enforce EM-385 and OSHA requirements and the project APP
• Provide leadership to safety personnel for consistent performance
• Monitor daily field operations and support safe, efficient production
