Job summary

Epcon Partners Inc. seeks a Facility Safety Specialist to oversee safety on a gas-fired turbine construction and early operations site, ensuring OSHA compliance and safe work practices for crews, contractors, and operations staff.

You will lead safety orientations, conduct audits, investigate incidents, and partner with operations and construction teams on hazard controls for high-energy systems, documenting permits and safety records for client and internal use.

Qualifications

• Facility safety experience is required.
• Energy, electricity, or power generation experience is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and site safety management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with field crews.
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain; safety certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day safety on-site and enforce OSHA/client safety standards.
• Run safety orientations, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits; track and close out findings.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, document root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with operations and construction teams on turbine, electrical, and high-energy hazard controls.
• Maintain safety records, permits, and reporting for client and internal use.
