Highland Consulting Group in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Safety Lead for a mechanical construction and fabrication environment. This full-time, permanent role emphasizes hands-on safety, training, and continuous improvement with minimal travel.

You will develop site safety plans, lead on-site safety presence, train crews, and partner with project teams and clients to uphold a strong safety culture, while preparing daily reports and tracking compliance.

Formación

• Minimum of 3 years safety experience in construction, preferably mechanical construction/fabrication.
• Experience supporting major projects and field teams.
• CHST certification required; OSHA 510, NFPA 70E, ASP, CSP, or USACE EM 385 exp. preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; safety-related degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, documentation, reporting, and tracking systems.
• Ability to train, coach, and influence employees and subcontractors in safe work practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients, management, and field personnel.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organized records.
• Stable work history and commitment to improving safety processes.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, update, and implement site-specific safety plans meeting project/client requirements.
• Maintain active on-site presence to support safe work practices and program compliance.
• Train field staff and subcontractors on safe construction practices, procedures, and regulatory expectations.
• Partner with project teams and clients to manage the safety program and culture.
• Prepare accurate daily reports for internal management and client review.
• Monitor ongoing projects, identify hazards, and drive corrective action as needed.
