Job summary

The Poole and Kent Corporation, part of EMCOR Group, is seeking a Safety Representative for on-site work in Ohio. You will support the Director of Loss Control and project teams to implement safety controls, conduct inspections, and enforce health and safety regulations across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates have a health and safety degree, OSHA training, and 5+ years in construction safety. Strong communication and MS Office skills are required for daily reporting and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health and safety or related field is required.
• OSHA 10- and OSHA 30-hour construction safety training or equivalent.
• Experience in HASP/JHA development and incident investigations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety controls, processes, and procedures to prevent injury from chemicals, ergonomic factors, and physical hazards.
• Support inspections, incident investigations, and enforcement of health and safety regulations.
• Maintain HASP, JHA, and related safety documentation with project leadership.
• Coordinate safety trainings, toolbox talks, and ensure certification compliance for field and office staff.
• Promote a zero-accident environment and enforce safety programs on site.
