Job summary

The State Group is actively seeking a Safety Coordinator to support a 15-month project in Bowling Green, Ohio, with continued opportunities. The role emphasizes safety leadership, training, and regulatory compliance on job sites.

You will conduct orientations, audits, and investigations, ensuring OSHA, EPA, and company policies are followed, with a focus on continuous improvement and safe operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety experience in the construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in safety or related field, or equivalent experience and certifications.
• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, safety recordkeeping and training databases.
• CSP or CHST certification preferred.
• Background check, drug screening, and MVR check required.
• Strong commitment to teamwork, safety culture, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key safety contact for customers, contractors, and regulatory agencies on job sites.
• Conduct safety orientation and training for all new employees.
• Perform safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Track audit findings, inspections, and corrective actions to closure.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Report safety concerns to Safety Management and Operations leadership.
• Take immediate action to correct unsafe conditions or behaviors.
• Promote a strong safety culture through accountability and continuous improvement.
