Job summary

The State Group is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee a 15-month project in Bowling Green, Ohio, with future opportunities. Responsibilities include serving as a key safety contact for customers, contractors, and regulators; conducting safety orientations, inspections, and incident investigations; and promoting a strong safety culture through audits and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety experience in construction.
• Bachelor's degree in safety or related field, or equivalent experience.
• OSHA 30 is required; OSHA 510 is preferred.
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, safety software, and training databases knowledge.
• CSP or CHST certification preferred.
• Employment is contingent upon background check, drug screening, and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a safety contact for customers, contractors, and regulators.
• Deliver safety orientations and training for new employees.
• Conduct inspections and incident investigations promptly.
• Perform safety audits and track corrective actions to closure.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies.
• Promote safety culture through accountability and communication.
