Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in safety or related field is required or on-the-job equivalent.
• Experience with environmental, health and safety systems and compliance is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with regulatory agencies.
• Ability to read regulations and translate to site procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate safety training with Learning & Development and ensure proper procedures.
• Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation, incidents, inspections and training records.
• Support environmental initiatives and ISO 14001 readiness activities.
• Provide guidance on safety-related issues and interact with management to improve practices.
