Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be a visible presence across the campus, respond to safety concerns, and support staff during challenging situations with a compassionate, trauma-informed approach.

Qualifications

• Calm, professional and steady in high-stress situations.
• Strong conflict-resolution and communication skills.
• Trauma-informed, person-centered approach preferred.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid and Narcan training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent on-site presence to promote safety and deter disruptive behavior.
• Monitor facility access and safety checks per protocols.
• Assess safety risks and take appropriate action.
• Use verbal de-escalation to calm tense situations.
• Support staff during challenging interactions with neighbors or visitors.
• Identify risk factors and recommend preventive measures.
• Greet neighbors and volunteers, building rapport over time.
• Respond to emergencies or safety incidents and coordinate with responders.
