Job summary

PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) in California is seeking a part-time Safety Support Associate for the Interim Housing team at the 702 Hotel site in Long Beach. You will help maintain a safe environment, engage participants, and support crisis interventions.

This role emphasizes de-escalation, client services, and collaboration with staff. The position offers weekend shifts with hourly pay of $21.71–$26.36 and 24 pay periods per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities

Responsibilities

• Ensure the interim housing site remains safe for staff and participants.
• Coordinate with on-site case management to provide support.
• Coordinate with security vendors to maintain site safety.
• Conduct regular rounds and report discrepancies or concerns.
• Response to safety/crisis events using de-escalation strategies.
• Complete reports as needed and participate in trainings.
• Attend meetings and contribute to safety and support operations.
