Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida is seeking an Installation Technician to hands-on assemble, install, and commission robotic cells and automated machinery on the factory floor. You will use mechanical and electrical craftsmanship to bring designs to life, coordinating with controls and mechanical engineers during deployment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in automation environments, read engineering docs, and can travel for installations and site support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial equipment assembly, installation, or maintenance in an automation/manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly docs.
• Hands-on mechanical assembly including structural, pneumatic, and motion systems; electrical panel wiring experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install robotic cells, automated machinery, and custom tooling per engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Perform mechanical assembly including framing, guarding, conveyors, pneumatic plumbing, and alignment.
• Execute electrical wiring and panel installation per schematics and safety standards (NFPA 79, NEC).
• Interpret engineering documentation and work from assembly drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Support controls engineers during commissioning and functional testing of new systems.
• Travel to Blue Origin sites for installations and startups.
