Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical and software design for automation, robotics, or industrial equipment environment.
• 5+ years designing and supporting automation equipment with new processes and technologies.
• Proficiency in ECAD (AutoCAD Electrical, ePlan) and Automation Software (TIA Portal, Studio 5000, TwinCAT, WinCC).
• Experience with PLCs and coding for Siemens, Beckhoff, and Rockwell platforms.
• Strong knowledge of machine design, motion systems, and pneumatic actuators.
• Experience with robotics systems (KUKA, FANUC, ABB) and system integration.
• Travel occasionally for customer support and installations.
• U.S. citizen/national or valid work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical panels and software for automation equipment including robotic cells and custom machines.
• Create schematics and diagrams using ECAD.
• Develop BOMs, assembly instructions, and technical docs.
• Program and configure controls and automation devices from scratch.
• Design, program and integrate robotic systems and external axes.
• Provide production support to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure designs meet safety, manufacturability, and project guidelines.
• Participate in design reviews, prototyping, testing, and system integration.
• Support fabrication, assembly, and installation phases of projects.
• Assist in project lifecycle, commissioning, and customer interface.
• Research new devices to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Improve systems for reliability and efficiency through automation.
