Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Factory Automation Group in Florida to design and integrate mechanical components for custom automation solutions. You will create fixtures, robotic tooling, and machine frames, collaborating with controls and software teams to ensure seamless system performance.

The role requires hands-on development from concept through installation, with a strong focus on manufacturability, safety, and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mechanical design for automation or robotics.
• Proficient in GD&T on 2D drawings and design reviews.
• Experience with 3D CAD in a regulated manufacturing setting.
• Familiar with machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Design fixtures, tooling, and robotic cells for automation systems.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings; maintain BOMs and docs.
• Collaborate with controls, software, and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure designs meet safety, manufacturability, and ergonomic standards.
• Support project lifecycle from prototyping to installation.
