Job summary

Borger Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Sheridan/Chillum Terrace Apartments in Hyattsville, MD. You will perform repairs, maintain common areas, and ensure tenant requests are handled promptly.

The role requires 2–3 years of maintenance experience, safety training for hazardous materials, and a readiness to pass background and drug screening. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive hourly pay and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of maintenance experience.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
• Experience working in a residential setting is preferred, but not required.
• Must be trained and experienced to safely handle specific hazardous material associated with building maintenance.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Handle maintenance requests in occupied, vacant and model units.
• Keep common areas clean and free of debris.
• Make apartments move-in ready by repairing walls, fixtures, and flooring.
• Change light bulbs, filters, and locks as needed.
• Perform daily property inspections and report concerns to the Property Manager/Service Manager.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule.
• Complete service requests by priority.
