Fortil is seeking a Resident Engineer to join our Auburn Hills engineering center, serving as the main technical interface between the customer and multidisciplinary teams throughout the product lifecycle.

You will support development activity, coordinate discussions, and drive issue resolution across software, hardware, and systems, ensuring timely communication of requirements and progress to the customer.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 years as a Resident Engineer in automotive or consumer electronics contexts.
• Strong understanding of automotive development workflows and validation processes.
• Experience interfacing with multidisciplinary teams and customers in English.

Aufgaben

• Act as on-site technical liaison between customer and internal engineering teams.
• Support product development activities and coordinate technical discussions with stakeholders.
• Participate in project reviews, customer meetings, quality reviews, and program follow-up.
• Track, document, and communicate technical issues using issue tracking tools.
• Coordinate with software, hardware, systems, mechanical, and validation teams to resolve issues.
• Provide regular project status updates and escalate critical issues when needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes and customer support.
• Ensure customer expectations and technical requirements are communicated throughout development.
