Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Reliability Engineer at our Lawrence, Kansas site to deliver on-site technical support for thermoforming operations and maintenance. You will analyze machine performance, lead RCA investigations, and implement predictive maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or reliability engineering required.
• Proficiency with CMMS, predictive maintenance tools, and data analysis required.
• CMRP or CRE is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, cross-functional communication, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, improve, and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
• Lead investigations into equipment failures and chronic breakdowns, developing permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor equipment performance metrics, including OEE and MTBF, to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with project and design teams to ensure new equipment and modifications prioritize reliability, maintainability and safety.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and guidance to maintenance technicians and operations teams during complex repairs.
• Optimize critical spare parts inventory by establishing stocking levels based on criticality and failure rates.
• Effectively train technical staff on projects and ensure vendor/contractor compliance with Amcor EHS directives.
