Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager to join our Irvine team on-site. You will call on local home builders and developers to develop project financing, manage a mid-market portfolio, and perform moderately complex underwriting and documentation.

You will present credit analyses, mentor junior staff, and grow our referral network through industry events. Travel 10-20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial lending experience.
• Ability to read and interpret financial statements and credit analyses.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client relationships.
• Familiarity with loan documentation and underwriting processes.
• Willingness to travel 10-20%.
• Ability to work independently with guidance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of client relationships with moderate complexities in financial analysis, underwriting, or structuring.
• Calls on new and existing clients to create and maintain a robust pipeline of new business.
• Prepares quality credit presentations with supported analyses and risk mitigations.
• Mentors credit analysts, underwriters, and less experienced relationship managers.
• Participates in industry events to build referrals and supports brand visibility.
• Travel 10-20% as required.
