Job summary

WB Residential Communities is seeking an experienced Property Manager for Brookview Commons in Deer Park, NY, to oversee day-to-day operations, on-site staff, leasing, and tenant relations. The ideal candidate will ensure occupancy targets, enforce budgets, and maintain property standards.

Proficiency in Yardi and MS Office, along with strong verbal and written communication, is required, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Attendance, punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws applicable to property management.
• Knowledge of building maintenance and preventive upkeep.
• Knowledge of Section 8 programs and tenant eligibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage a property budget and ensure budget compliance.
• Proficiency in Yardi, MS Excel/Word, and Outlook; bookkeeping, A/P, A/R and budgets.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• HR/Payroll management of site personnel.
• Maintains high occupancy by leasing property in a timely manner.
• Maintains tenant files and documentation (applications, recertifications, eligibility).
• Interact with tenants on rent collection, lease administration, and renewals.
• Conduct property inspections (move-in/move-out) and housekeeping per standards.
• Prepare rent rolls, adjustments, delinquency reports, and vacancy lists.
• Ensure units are decent, safe, and sanitary.
• Document deficiencies, prioritize repairs, and coordinate with staff for timely completion.
• Provide weekly/monthly reports to corporate headquarters.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
