Job summary

Princeton Properties is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for our Portland, ME properties. This on-site role handles basic repairs, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks with training provided.

You’ll complete daily maintenance work orders across apartment homes and respond to emergencies on a rotating on-call schedule. Must have a basic hand tool set, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to complete daily maintenance work orders.
• Experience with basic repairs, plumbing, electrical work, or HVAC is preferred.
• Must live in the greater Portland, ME area or nearby and pass a background check.
• Possesses a basic tool set and a valid driver’s license.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing physical tasks.
• Willing to be on-call for emergencies and snow removal.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance work orders across apartment homes.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC issues (training provided).
• Respond to emergency calls on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Work independently and with a team to keep communities clean and functional.
• Communicate with vendors and property management staff as needed.
• Participate in snow removal when required (nights/weekends during storms).
