Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Project Manager I to support Senior PMs on construction projects, on-site daily, and lead small projects as needed. You will collaborate with a diverse team, manage schedules, budgets, and quality, and contribute to risk management and procurement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4-7 years of experience or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and administration of the project safety plan.
• Assist in project controls and procedures and manage risk mitigation processes.
• Create and manage change items and verify financial forecast.
• Develop and manage a project-specific quality plan aligned with contract documents.
• Create and manage a closeout plan in alignment with contract documents.
• Direct and supervise project administration, superintendents, and engineers.
• Support subcontracting strategy and scope writing for buyout process.
• Enforce contracts and assist in risk mitigation planning; prepare drafting.
• Enroll for insurance and bonds; track trade contractors’ compliance.
• Support development of project estimate, design coordination, GMP preparation.
• Prepare monthly schedule updates with analysis and narratives.
• Assist constructability and coordination reviews.
• Understand local market areas to assist networking strategy.
• Train direct reports on processes and daily tasks.
• Manage workload and performance of direct reports; foster inclusive environment.
