Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Project Estimator to support pricing for construction projects across retail, hospital, and municipal sectors on-site in Greensboro, NC. The role covers takeoffs, budgets, and preconstruction cost analyses to optimize GMPs and bids.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in construction estimating, proficiency with Bluebeam/Sage/Excel, and strong cost-analysis capabilities, plus the ability to pass a government background check.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction estimating.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, Excel, or similar estimating software.
• Strong Cost Analysis Experience.
• Must be able to pass a government background check.

Responsibilities

• Manage quantity takeoffs, estimation, GMP development, and cost analysis.
• Review project documents, develop budgets, pricing, evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals during preconstruction process.
• Identify potential project risks, opportunities, and cost impacts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project interviews.
• Perform constructability reviews, value engineering analyses, and cost-saving evaluations.
