Job summary

The Crom Corporation in High Point, NC is seeking a Full-Time Estimator to develop estimates for projects from the preliminary phase through the bid phase. You will evaluate documents, measure quantities, solicit quotes, and coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to build comprehensive bid packages.

Ideal candidates have strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate pricing strategies and risks clearly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• College education in construction management or engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of arithmetic and geometry.
• Experience in construction or coatings industry.
• Customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts.
• Review project documents to understand the project.
• Generate RFI to identify unknowns, risks, conflicts.
• Measure areas and volumes to generate quantities.
• Clearly articulate pricing methodologies to stakeholders.
• Solicit quotes for project estimates.
• Collaborate with regional managers, PMs, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Follow opportunity process and hand off estimates to operations.
• Identify and implement productivity improvements.
• Uphold company values and hit milestones.
