Job summary

Talent Axis Management is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the Project Construction Manager on a Washington, DC project through June 2028. The role acts as the Owner’s Representative, providing technical guidance during planning, procurement, and construction activities.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical engineering background, excellent communication and coordination skills, and at least five years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering, construction, or PM experience.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, specs, and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Construction Manager through planning, procurement, and construction phases.
• Serve as technical resource and Owner’s Representative for informed decisions.
• Review project schedules, monitor progress, and evaluate cost estimates.
• Conduct constructability reviews to identify design conflicts and safety concerns.
• Perform and coordinate technical reviews of design documents, specs, equipment, and submittals.
• Review contractor proposals, RFIs, and change requests for compliance.
• Ensure technical work meets applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, designers, consultants, PMs, and stakeholders to resolve risks.
