Job summary

Signature IT World Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer for a 6-month assignment with potential extensions and possible contract-to-hire.

The position is 100% on-site with 40-50 hours per week and a schedule of 8 am-5 pm. The role focuses on leading capital projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering activities, and delivering projects on scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical) required.
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing or roofing/building products.
• Ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects within budget, scope, and downtime constraints.
• Thorough knowledge of computer software and G Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication; OSHA and environmental compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute capital projects across the lifecycle to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Define, design, and manage project installations with cost estimates and justifications.
• Provide engineering support to Production and Maintenance; troubleshoot complex issues.
• Coordinate internal maintenance and external contractors during projects.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards for safety and cost control.
• Promote and enforce safety initiatives related to equipment operation.
