Job summary

Solventum in Irvine, CA is seeking a Resident Capital Project Engineer to manage capital projects through all phases, from concept to turnover. You will provide technical leadership, coordinate with contractors and internal stakeholders, and ensure safety and compliance.

Share your expertise in facility systems and project management to deliver on-time, on-budget, high-quality outcomes. Onsite work with travel up to 10% and relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and two (2) years of experience in capital project management, process engineering, product engineering, and/or manufacturing engineering in a private, public, government, or military environment
• High School Diploma/GED (completed prior to start) and six (6) years of experience in capital project management, process engineering, product engineering, and/or manufacturing engineering in a private, public, government, or military environment

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects from concept development, design, procurement, and construction through commissioning and turnover.
• Provide technical leadership in design, ensuring safe and compliant execution, and acting as the contractor's designated representative.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, EH&S, and quality teams to ensure stakeholder requirements are met.
• Develop bid packages, evaluate vendor proposals, and manage external contractors and consultants.
• Lead and support Management of Change (MOC) processes for new systems and modifications.
