Job summary

MGE Underground, Inc. is hiring a Project Management Coordinator to support project managers and field crews across California.

The role is hands-on through all project phases, demanding strong time management, multi-tasking, and meticulous coordination with internal departments, customers, and outside agencies. You will travel to job sites, review packs, mark out sites, and manage communications to keep projects on schedule while assisting with inventory, subcontractors, and expenses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Preferred: 1-2 years of Construction Administration or related industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to visit job sites as needed throughout the county.
• Review job packs and ensure upcoming jobs are cleared and ready for construction.
• Mark out and submit USA tickets and site survey requests.
• Notify government agencies regarding planned work.
• Assist with inventory and deliveries.
• Assist with tracking materials, subcontractors, and expenses.
• Gather close-out docs and submit as-builts/completion packs to clients.
• Support close-out docs, including maps, plans, diagrams, drawings.
• Coordinate subcontractor services and laydown areas for jobs.
• Support pre-construction activities and set up jobs for timely start.
• Review and interpret construction drawings and crew instructions.
• Communicate with clients, government agencies, customers, and internal teams on plan/schedule.
