Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a Junior Program Financial Analyst in Dahlgren, VA, to provide routine and complex program or financial analyses. You will support the Acquisition Lead, manage departmental budgets, and ensure fiscal accountability across multiple program functions.

This role is 100% on-site and requires effective communication with all levels. The position involves preparing briefs, managing reports, and coordinating meetings, with salary guidance around the stated range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels and external contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment; ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support Acquisition Lead in Department business operations and financial oversight.
• Review IBPES financial requirements to identify discrepancies in funding and manage year-end funds.
• Run monthly Subtask Funding Status Analysis and ensure accurate reporting.
• Ensure personnel have correct NWA charges and monitor variances between planned and executed funds.
• Coordinate and manage classified and unclassified meetings; handle scheduling, logistics, and briefings.
• Maintain portfolio plans, status reports, and technical documents; collaborate with multiple authors and sponsors.
• Generate/edit content independently and with the team.
