Bowhead seeks a Program Financial Analyst to provide routine and complex program or financial management support, including needs assessments and cost/benefit analyses, aligning program requirements with business initiatives.

This position is 100% on-site in Dahlgren, VA and requires the ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance. The role involves coordinating meetings, preparing briefings, and ensuring fiscal accountability across multiple programmatic functions.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or HS Diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.
  • Effective communication with all levels and external contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment.

Responsabilidades

  • Support Acquisition Lead in Department business operations.
  • Review IBPES budgeting to identify discrepancies and manage funding.
  • Run monthly Subtask Funding Status Analysis in IBPES.
  • Ensure personnel have appropriate Network Activity Numbers to charge and monitor variances.
  • Coordinate in-person and VTC meetings, scheduling, logistics, and access.
  • Maintain portfolio plans, weekly/monthly status reports, and briefing materials.
  • Generate/edit content independently and with the team.

Overview

JuniorProgram Financial Analyst (VOPS-2026-26305):

Bowhead seeks a Program Financial Analyst to provide routine and complex program or financial management support/analyses, including needs assessments and cost/benefits analyses in an effort to align program/financial needs with business initiatives.

This position is 100% on-site.

Responsibilities

The Program Financial Analyst provides critical support to the Acquisition Lead within the Integrated Combat Systems (V) Department, contributing to the effective management of departmental business operations, financial oversight, and resource alignment. This role ensures fiscal accountability, operational efficiency, and strategic coordination across multiple programmatic functions.

  • Support the Integrated Combat Systems (V) Department Acquisition Lead in V Department Business Operations
  • Reviewing the financial requirements in Integrated Budgeting Planning and Execution System (IBPES) to identify and resolve discrepancies in funding and to manage funds used to fiscal year end
  • Running and reviewing the monthly Subtask Funding Status Analysis Report in the IBPES
  • Ensuring that the V Department support personnel had the appropriate Network Activity Numbers (NWA) to charge and monitor variances between planned versus execution.
  • Manage the execution of classified and unclassified in-person and VTC meetings, scheduling, logistics, brief management, and visitor access.
  • Maintain portfolio plans and briefings, weekly and monthly status reports, other technical documents, and reports, and working closely with multiple authors and program sponsors.
  • Responsible for generating/editing content while working both independently and collaboratively with a team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Target salary is $57,000/annually to $65,000/annually commensurate with experience

Bowhead considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
