Job summary

Bowhead seeks a Business Financial Analyst to provide program management and operational support to NSWCDD V Department and affiliated departments in Dahlgren, VA. You will assist with financial tracking, coordinating program activities, maintaining documentation, and supporting leadership with administrative requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5–8 years of professional experience.
• Excellent writing, editing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• DoD or government documentation experience preferred.
• Active Secret security clearance preferred; ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and process purchase requisitions within IBPES and supporting Excel-based tools.
• Coordinate with CORs to obtain and validate MOD information and update Contracts Planned FY tracker.
• Review, validate, and revise PRs prior to submission to Government BFMs in IBPES.
• Monitor program procurements and ensure funding obligations before expiration.
• Maintain COR-COD Excel workbooks with monthly IBPES financial data.
• Maintain weekly contractor planning trackers for visibility into financial execution.
• Monitor NWA execution, update funding amounts, and communicate changes to planners.
• Review TPS subtasks during IBPES planning events and approve based on allocations.
• Research historical obligations to identify outstanding actions and provide recommendations.
• Provide financial management support and SME to Government personnel and stakeholders.
• Ensure data accuracy and traceability across IBPES and supporting tools.
