Job summary

FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A., Inc. in North Kingstown, RI is seeking a Production Planner to align finished goods and materials with customer demand.

The role focuses on creating monthly production plans and monitoring status to ensure on-time delivery. You will collaborate with Operations, Logistics, and other functions, use ERP/MRP systems, and manage inventory, shortages, and scheduling constraints on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of related experience in production planning, material planning, supply chain, operations, or manufacturing.
• Basic knowledge of MRP, production planning, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
• Experience with or exposure to an ERP/MRP system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential material, inventory, or scheduling issues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing requirements.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Logistics, Customer Service, Procurement, and other business partners.
• Ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities while seeking guidance or escalating more complex planning issues as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and publish monthly production schedules for assigned product families based on customer demand and business requirements.
• Plan raw material requirements and place purchase orders in support of assigned production plans.
• Monitor daily production status, customer orders, inventory, backlog, and potential material shortages.
• Coordinate with Shop Floor Control on production priorities and schedule requirements.
• Monitor distribution center requirements and inventory levels, identify potential issues, and coordinate with appropriate stakeholders to resolve or accelerate concerns.
• Expedite materials as necessary to support production requirements.
• Coordinate with Logistics on shipments to support timely customer deliveries while minimizing shipping costs.
• Track returnable containers across multiple product lines and global locations to support customer demand and production requirements.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to support production and raw material planning and maintain accurate planning information.
• Track and coordinate disposition of discrepant materials.
• Support import/export, order processing, customer inquiries, invoice coding, and freight forwarder coordination as needed.
