Job summary

FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A., Inc. in North Kingstown, RI is seeking a Production Planner to develop and publish monthly production schedules, plan materials, and coordinate with Operations, Logistics, and other teams to ensure on-time delivery.

This on-site role supports finished goods and raw materials to meet customer demand and business goals. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 0–3 years in production planning or supply chain, with strong Excel skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of related experience in production planning, material planning, supply chain, operations, or manufacturing. Internship or Co-op may be considered.
• Basic knowledge of MRP, production planning, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
• Experience with or exposure to an ERP/MRP system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data organization, analysis, and interpretation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify material, inventory, or scheduling issues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities and changing requirements.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities while seeking guidance or escalating complex planning issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and publish monthly production schedules for assigned product families based on customer demand and business requirements.
• Plan raw material requirements and place purchase orders in support of assigned production plans.
• Monitor daily production status, customer orders, inventory, backlog, and potential material shortages.
• Coordinate with Shop Floor Control on production priorities and schedule requirements.
• Monitor distribution center requirements and inventory levels, identify issues, and coordinate resolution with stakeholders.
• Expedite materials as necessary to support production requirements.
• Coordinate with Logistics on shipments to support timely deliveries while minimizing costs.
• Track returnable containers across product lines and locations to support demand and production requirements.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to support production and raw material planning and maintain accurate planning information.
• Track and coordinate disposition of discrepant materials.
• Support import/export, order processing, customer inquiries, invoice coding, and freight forwarder coordination as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field
