Job summary

National Machinery is seeking a Production Planner to own the accuracy of product structures and production planning data on-site in the United States. You will translate approved engineering information into controlled PDM/ERP records, coordinate shop-order plans, and ensure material availability to support on-time production.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and BOMs, maintaining multilevel BOMs and revisions, and coordinating engineering changes while preserving revision control

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and multilevel BOMs.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• Experience translating engineering information into PDM/ERP records.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Own the accuracy and readiness of product structures and production planning data.
• Translate approved engineering information into PDM/ERP records.
• Coordinate shop-order plans to support material availability and on-time completion.
• Review drawings, BOMs, routings, and engineering changes; coordinate corrections.
• Create and maintain PDM/ERP part records, multilevel BOMs, assemblies and revisions.
• Verify structures match documentation and that planning data is complete.
• Process engineering changes while maintaining revision control.
• Maintain production shop-order schedules and monitor material requirements.
• Track production progress and communicate issues and actions to stakeholders.
• Release complete, validated product structures and ensure clear planning handoff.
• Maintain data-quality checks and support root-cause analysis and improvements.
• Escalate when data or approvals are missing; follow release controls.
