PRODUCTION PLANNER--***THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION***

Own the accuracy and readiness of product structures and production planning data, translating approved engineering information into controlled PDM/ERP records and coordinating shop-order plans to support material availability, production execution, and on-time completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review approved drawings, BOMs, specifications, routings, and engineering changes; identify missing, conflicting, duplicated, or outdated information and coordinate corrections with Engineering.
  • Create and maintain PDM/ERP part records, multilevel BOMs, assemblies, component relationships, revisions, quantities, units of measure, document links, routings, and required planning data.
  • Verify product structures match approved engineering documentation and that mandatory manufacturing, sourcing, and planning fields are complete or assigned to the responsible function.
  • Process approved engineering changes while maintaining revision control and consistency between PDM and ERP; do not independently change design intent or approve engineering revisions.
  • Maintain daily and weekly production shop-order schedules; review shop orders and material requirements, monitor shortages, and coordinate actions affecting material availability and schedule attainment.
  • Track production progress and identify schedule risks, quality-related impacts, data errors, and other constraints; communicate issues and recommended actions to the Production Scheduler and appropriate functions.
  • Release only complete, validated product structures; document unresolved constraints, notify the Production Scheduler when structures are ready, and ensure the planning handoff is clear.
  • Maintain data-quality checks, track recurring errors, support root-cause analysis, and recommend improvements to data-entry, release, planning, and scheduling processes.
  • May return incomplete information, hold product-structure release when required data or approvals are missing, and escalation discrepancies.
  • Accountable for product-data accuracy through the scheduling handoff and for maintaining accurate production-planning data.
  • Must follow approved engineering revisions and required release controls.
  • Any additional required duties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
