Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking a Production Control professional to drive work order management, expedite material and coordinate with Operations to support submarine construction. The role requires reading blueprints and interfacing with multiple departments.

The successful candidate will work 100% on site in Groton, CT and contribute to safety, quality, cost and schedule goals while improving processes across programs and functions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of experience in a Trade, Shipyard, Military or Planning/Production Control role.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform Production Control functions including Work Order management, expediting, change processing and closeout.
• Interface with Operations, Engineering, Design, Material Systems, Configuration Management, Quality and other support organizations at various levels of management.
• Adhere to Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Process Improvement attributes as they apply to the position.
• Support Groton Machine Shop Operations across all programs.
