Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Co. is seeking an Operations Support (Procurement) Coordinator in Columbus, GA. This on-site role covers purchasing activities, vendor communication, and maintaining zero variance in storeroom inventories within budget.

You will negotiate with suppliers, track deliveries, and manage materials for maintenance and other departments. Strong organizational skills and experience with SAP or WMS are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience in purchasing, inventory, cycle counts, and budgeting.
• Experience with Central Maintenance Management Systems or Warehouse Management Systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Parts Room team and manage purchasing and receiving of materials.
• Plan and organize materials for weekends, shutdowns, and special projects.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
• Forecast purchasing needs based on production plans and maintain system records.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and control minimum/maximum reorder levels.
