Job summary

Jaquith Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Prevailing Wage & Compliance Officer to support the Hudson Tunnel Project. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws and CUF requirements on construction sites in New York and New Jersey.

You will conduct on-site interviews, audit payroll records, review certified reports, monitor contractor adherence, and report findings to the Prevailing Wage & Compliance Manager. Travel is required to multiple project sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in the construction industry, wage compliance, labor relations, or a related field.
• Knowledgeable of prevailing wage laws and CUF regulations.
• Willing to be trained on prevailing wage laws, wage and hour regulations in NY and NJ.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• A valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site interviews to verify job classifications and wage rates.
• Inspect payroll records to ensure adherence to prevailing wage rates.
• Review certified payroll reports submitted by contractors.
• Conduct CUF evaluations to verify commercially useful function.
• Monitor contractor compliance with wage requirements and contract stipulations.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of monitoring activities and findings.
• Serve as liaison between workers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Assist in training and guidance on compliance requirements.
